“Ownership DNA Culture©” makes sure the smallest actionable activity and related data measurement that impact business value is captured for every activity. These value activities and data are then driven into every functional area and person’s incentive and compensation structure.
My mission – helping small and medium sized businesses succeed by instilling an “Ownership DNA Culture©”.
Inspiring all to “Own” – by aligning the teams (“doers”) with the company vision (“dream”) – Empowering to perform at their best, create incentive programs to drive the unique brand value and eliminating activities that don’t add value.

HOW I ACQUIRED MY “OWNERSHIP DNA”
My career encompassed a growth mode and then was burnished as an entrepreneur in the crucible of a disastrous economy. “Owning” is proven and battle-tested.

As a W-2 employee, with progressive responsibility: managing a $450 million master trust, hedging interest rate exposure, lease financings, planning, capital investment analyses, acquisitions/divestitures and as an operator of 50 plus locations across the United States.
Then, second mortgaged my home to purchase company’s stock in a leverage buyout. That decision set my course moving forward laser focusing every subsequent action. No longer did I see myself as an employee, but with the fiduciary responsibilities of an owner.
- Working from the bottom-up…
As an entrepreneur/founder of a company operating 11 restaurants with 350 employees and real estate, I’ve made payroll, guaranteed debt and commitments. Live with personal risk; therefore, EVERY decision counts.
This business was severely negatively affected by the economic downturn. This required utilizing all the skills developed to right size the cost structure to survive this “near death experience.”

By instilling an “Ownership DNA Culture©”, I elevate the performance of teams and companies to optimize success in achieving their vision. Have proven record of unleashing the talents of stakeholders so they perform at their personal best, which aligns their “brand” to become synonymous with value and a steward of all resources. The foundation of these experiences is people – customers, and employees. Inspiring employees to be great at what they do – not average. The result: providing customers what they want by a motivated team.
Use a discipline grounded in an “ownership” mentality learned in a leveraged buyout. This discipline emerged from working “top-down” in multiple roles in finance, in business planning and as an operator/owner in a multi-divisional and diverse services company. Then, working from the “bottom-up” as an entrepreneur creating a new business from nothing. Have had to make payroll! This experience firmly grounds me in reality – both operationally and financially.
Others cite my unique ability to align the activities of the team (“doer”) with organizational purpose (“dream”), which unleashes employee potential while minimizing activities that do not add or detract from the company’s value proposition. Motivate all stakeholders to “Own” everything they do.
